I'm moving to Denver from Chicago on Saturday, and my ignition switched messed up. Origionally (if anyone remembers), I had problems with the ignition switch. The engine wouldn't start with the key in the normal cranking position. You could feel tthe engine catch when you turned the key back to the number two position. It would take several tries to get is started. You can crank and crank, but it won't catch until you let go of the key. This still happends by the way, but now I have a problem that is more serious.
NEW PROBLEM: I turn the key and I hear the starter solenoid makes a very rapid clicking noise (I think that the solenoid is causing the noise). The cluster lights blink rapidly along with the solenoid. The starter never engages. Tonight, I also heard the fuel pump relay buzzing as well. Anyone have any ideas? I'd really like to fix this problem tomarrow. I can always push start the car, but I don't want to resort to that. Especially on a 1000k mile trip across the country. ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO!
