Reda, u lucky dog, I just did this on my GLi.

Yes, u need a remote keyless relay. Contact the manufacturer of your
alarm or your local stereo/alarm shop for one.

The ELECTRIC actuator is an ADD-ON. The actuator should come with a metal
rod that has an adaptor at the top allowing u to attach it to the
pre-existing door lock rod. Once u do that and wire it into your alarm, u r
set. I mounted my actuator with a single screw to the bottom left side of
the door if u r standing in front of the open driver's door.

I will never put key in lock again. It's the only way to go. Plus, when
my alarm arms it flashes my parking lights which also flashes my city
lights. It's the simple victories that make life worth living!!! ;-)

If u need any further assistance, let me know.

        Renard

'90 GLi (where does the key go again??)

Subject: Car Alarms: Door Lock Actuators

Hey guys, I have a couple questions about our door locks.
Is it hard to hook up the actuator to the door locks?
Does the actuator replace the current lock or is it like an add-on
piece?
Are any relays required for the connection or is it different for every
alarm?

Thanks,
Mark Reda.
