Dave,
The O2 sensor is on the catalytic converter. You get to it from
underneath. Just follow the wire up, close to the firewall and repair as
needed. You shouldn't need to replace the whole sensor, but if you don't
know when/if it was replaced you should do it. Your car will run so much
better and your gas mileage will go up as well. HTH.

As stated in my previous emails I am still very new to repairing my
car.
I have no Bentley manual (CD or paper form - would love one though) From
what I understand the O2 sensor is attatched to the downpipe, but would I
get to it from above or below. If it is a melted to metal wire, could I
just
tape it up, then secure it from touching the downpipe? Or would I need to
replace the entire O2 sensor? Thanks again for your help guys....
