Does anyone know of an alternative fitment for a hydraulic hood lift using hydraulic lifts available at Checker/Autozone type stores? I would like to fabricate my own without having to purchase the kits. I would like to know where to drill the hood and fender, and which hydraulic lifts will work. Maybe I am being too cheap- haven't heard of others doing this on this board.
