Hey all, My '87 GTI 16v has started a really annoying problem. Periodically, the car will lose power dramatically, such that with the throttle wide open, it'll just barely keep running or even go completely dead. Typically, it will then return to normal operation suddenly and be fine for what's usually a couple of weeks. I'm leaning towards it being the fuel pump relay or transfer pump, but the fact that the car will keep running at full throttle (though just barely) seems odd to me. Any ideas? Thanks, Chris
