Unofficial word from DC is that as of 12:00PM EST, there are 6 planes reported hijacked. Two hit the World Trade Center, one hit the Pentagon, and the other crashed in western Pennsylvania. The other two are as of yet unaccounted for. My father is a high ranking official in the State Department, and I tried for 3 hours to get ahold of him. He fianlly called me at work to let me know he was OK. There are an unknown number of dead reported at the Pentagon, and I don't even want to think about how many dead in New York.
