I have the McInnes book. its very general and covers a lot of applications
though nothing specific. It will help you figure out how to build a turbo
setup though and has some useful info...

Subject: Re: Turbo Book

I would like to learn about turbo's, whether I should get one or not isn't
the point, I want to know the how what when why where stuff.

Can anyone recommend a good book that explains how everything works and how
to design a system

TIA
Chris

A book that I really like is Turbochargers by Hugh McInnes. I think there
is another good one called Maximum Boost by Corky Bell.
