That is the truth. I am getting $4k for my GTI tomorrow. That includes the
spare engine and basically anything else I can scare up for him.

I have over $8k invested and list of mods is long and glorified.

  Matt,

Don't expect all the mods below to add value to the car. It's only worth
what someone is going to pay for it. Quite frankly, if I were to go out and
buy a '91 Gli tomorrow, I would want it as unmodded as possible. It's tough
to get back, financially, what you've put into a car in terms of parts,
labor, and sweat.

I do all modifications to my cars, thinking long term ownership, despite
if it sells next week. You'll regret it when you sell your Gli anyhow, just
ask us. But by all means, get that TT exhuast and the springs in that Gli :)

  Thanks and good luck.

I'm planning to sell my '91 GLi sometime in the next 6 months or so.
I'm
just curios if you guys think it would increase the value of the car if
I
added some mods before selling it. The car is black with a straight
body,
117K on it. I bought it in 2000 for $5k So far I have installed

    Garett Chip
    Bilstein HD's
    Neuspeed plug wires
    Bonrath Spring Caps
    JVC CD Kameleon
    K&N Air Filter
    New Intake Boot
    New Differential Pressure Regulator
    New Timing Belt
    New Fuel Injector O-Rings

Things I want to put in before I sell it:

    TT Cat Back Exhaust $200
    H&R Springs $200

I'm thinking of selling it for $5500, but if I install the exhaust and
the
springs will it be worth more or less?

I know this seems like high prices, but VW's are expensive in the NW.
