RE: Two position fog light switch

Dunno if this helps, but many Euro fog light switches with two positions use
one for front and one for front +rear fogs.

RE: Brakes

Haven't done real exhaustive search, but have problems with the rear rotors
on 89 16V GTi and 87 16V Scirocco. Cars are in rust belt and don't get used
hard/often enough to keep rust off rotors. Semi-metallic pads (Axxis, Repco,
Mintex, some generic ones that came with a "rebuilt" caliper) all seem softer
the the ferric oxide that forms on the rotor surface. The outside surface
can be readily taken care of with emory cloth/wire brush, but the inner gets
glazed, pad transfers more material, rotor gets shot. If it wasn't for the
hassle of getting rotors on/off and bearing R&R, I'd probably have them
turned. I don't think I get enough heat in them to make the carbon pads
work. Any one know of a "rotor reconditiong" pad that will help. Called
Brembo, 800-325-3994, because I've bought more of their 08.5005.10 rotors
than I should have. They were absolutely no help, telling me to go to the
dealer. No other trick rotors that he was willing to even look for (ie one
with some Ni in it or one of their new composites).

So...any one with a specific recommendation. I'm half tempted to take some
old pads to antique car brake vendor and see if I can have some aluminum
oxide compund mounted on them.

Both cars used to go to track events, but now see occasional duty, so no real
need for high temp pads?

TIA
