I figure it'd be a great tool to have for all watercooled VW guys and gals. Here's my latest example: 91 GTI 16V - The car will randomly not start. Very much like a bad ignition switch, you turn the key and nothing, not even a crank. It'd been doing this for over a year now and I replaced the ignition switch a second time, and it still didn't fix it. I thought it was a hot start problem, but it wasn't. It was a faulty seat belt/starter interlock relay. Yup, that gizmo that keeps your car from starting when you don't have your seat belt plugged in. The little contact point inside of it was a little burnt up and didn't make good contact. I simpy bypassed it. It's useless to me anyways, since I always wear my seat belt.
