All, If anyone has a spare recently rebuilt 16v head lying around for my GTI, I'd love it. The car is starting to puff some smoke at startup and the lifters are noisy so I might as well try to find a cheap-o used head to swap into the car.
Also, I'm trying to find a pair of front strut/shock assemblies for my bro-in-law's '86 scirocco 8v. If anyone has one, let me know. I'll be doing the front wheel bearings on the same car this weekend. I've never actually had to do front bearings on a car before, oddly enough. What all is involved? What tools will I need to rent/buy? Later, Pat
