RE: [A2-16v] Breather OptionsGreg, Everything went fine (it was easier than anticipated). No more crappy looking coolant. I had to get a new expansion tank though (old one was so loaded with oil it kept contaminating the coolant) but now it's all nice and colorful. If you have the hose let me know. I actually have an open weekend so I think I'll go on a junkyard expedition. Also gonna do my O2 and maybe even the new distributor I've had for 2 months now. Thanks for checking. Hi Greg, So you got the oil cooler on...cool...everything seem ok? Other than the breather hose. I might have one of those...definitely wouldn't charge you $70...let me look over the weekend and get back to you. Greg -----Original Message----- From: Greg Overman [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Friday, August 16, 2002 2:33 PM To: 16V Group Subject: [A2-16v] Breather Options I was changing my oil cooler last weekend and in the process discovered my breather hose (the one from the front of the block to the air filter) was split. So I taped it up but was wondering if there are any options for replacing it with something cheaper ($70/why do all my hoses cost so damn much?) or should I just try to find one at a junkyard? Is running it to the airbox an emissions thing?
