Here's some quotes from the K&N site. So it looks like you can mess up
sensors (provided you have a newer car) if you're lame enough to totally
over saturate your filter. As far as the 02, it doesn't address that
specifically. I've personally used K&N's for 30 years on various vehicles 2
and 4 wheeled and never had any damage or problems resulting from their use.
Hope this helps to quell any fears out there. If you need further

7. Will a K&N filter cause my vehicle's mass air sensor to fail?
No. A properly oiled K&N filter will not contaminate a mass air sensor.
However, if extremely over oiled, it's possible for contamination to occur.
In the last few years certain vehicles have had design problems with the
mass air sensors. Some dealers have attempted to blame the problem on a K&N
filter, however, of all the sensors we have sent off to be tested, we have
yet to find one that failed due to oil contamination. The defect in all
cases was within the mass air sensor unit.

Over-oiling
When servicing a K&N filter, take care not to over-oil the element. Besides
impeding air flow, excess oil can migrate into the intake system where it
can coat electronic sensors, which may hinder their operation. Never
saturate the filter. If oil drips from the filter, wash it and start over.
Use only K&N oil. For example, an E-1500 filter has 92.4-inches of surface
area requiring 1.707 fluid ounces of oil. Follow oiling instructions
included with your filter or refer to the instructions listed in the back of
this catalog.
