Chad,
   Try http://www.racerwholesale.com/.  They seem to
have a good selection and are reliable.  They'll tell
you how to measure your head and/or you can go to a
local cycle shop to try on helmets for size.  The
cycle helmets tend to be S-M-L-XL while the racing
helmets are typically numerically sized though.  You
might also want to consider a neck brace (they're
cheap insurance) and some basic driving gloves (good
protection and the bright colors help you when you
need to point other cars by - there are always faster
cars).
   Price wise you of course have to factor in your
budget and how much you're going to use it but the
bottom line is get the best one that you can afford.
