Should the metal flange fastened to the top of the strut rod fit snugly against the strut tower (the body of the car)? I have the shine suspension with new passat mounts as recommended by shine. The bottom of the flange does not always contact the body of the car. There also is no plastic ring around the flange now so even if it touched the strut tower it would be metal on metal contact.
