I don't know if this applies to the GLi, but it does apply to the GTI. You can put the alternator back in the stock location without changing any pulleys. You will need a longer belt, and a 7-8" turnbuckle. If my motor was in my car I would take pictures of it.
Someone on this list does have pictures tho. I have 2 questions: 1. I want to put the alternator back in the stock location. I know if you change the pulleys w/one from another application you can do this. Which pulley do I need? Part number, application, any info would be appreciated. 2. Is it worth the effort to pull the evaporator in the cabin? That's about it. Any experience and/or tips would be appreciated. Cheers, Renard _______________________________________________ A2-16v mailing list [email protected] http://maillist.myip.org/mailman/listinfo/a2-16v For list archives, see listinfo link above.
