Plastic reflectors will melt with high powered bulbs, never go over 55/60W
bulbs with these. Metal reflectors are obviousely better. Plastic H4 housings
will still be vastly superior to any DOT light.

Hella is the accepted standard throughout the lighting industry. Cibie and
Marchal however are better lights if you are concerned about the absolute
highest quality. I have Solturnus (Czech) which are similar to Hella, they
work excellent with 80/100W bulbs. Super bright and very positive cutoff
pattern. No one ever flashes me, the accuracy of a properly set up H4 is
amazing compared to the sub-standard DOT lights.

If you are worried about spending money, the cheapest way to go is to get a GTi
grille and round light housings from the junk yard. Buy 7" H4 rounds of your
choice and install. Hella 7" are only $58 each. Whatever you do, get a dual
relay kit and 10ga wire to complete the installation. www.rallylights.com has
good Hella relay install kits for only $12.00.
