I suspect there is some problem with my heater vents. When I turn on the AC I can have the heat on full and the vents still blow cool air (not freezing cold as if I had the temp selector all the way on cold). Maybe the flap that routes air past the heater core not longer does its job well. I seem to remember one of my vws had holes in the flap covered by some material that eventually falls off. What will I need to get the heater working again? Maybe I should have collected all the foam pieces that found its way through the vents, into my eyes, and all over the carpet and seats. What is up with VW using the same foam for 10+ years? All of my vws have blown foam bits into my eyes, from my 82 Scirocco to my 92 Corrado.
