I am planning a small project to make a remote switch for turning on the cooling fan on high speed at any time. I figured I could easily wire in a switch to turn on the high speed relay but I am investigating another idea. My car has/had A/C although most of the components are removed. Looking at the diagrams (Bentley pg 15-71 and 15-57) it seems as though if I jump the a/c high pressure switch, I will have a direct line from the a/c control head at pin 'c' to the high speed fan relay. When the a/c is 'on' it should then route 12v from the #8 load reduction relay (controlled by igition switch) to the high speed fan relay turning it on.
Sounds good on paper. Anybody tried this or at least metered it out to see if it would work instead of wiring in an additional switch? TIA. Rich Blake 88GTi16v
