It's the same, the transfer pump is low pressure, it's only used to push
fuel into the expansion tank, where the main pump is located. And CIS-e
pump are all the same, the only ones that are diiferent are digi pump,
they flow less because they're used with system pressure of around 40psi
as opposed to cis-e that's a lot higher (don't remember exactly but
around 70psi). math

Subject: [a2-16v-list] Question concerning in tank fuel pump...

Hi all..been a long time....questions I have is :
First thing Do the 8valves also have the in tank fuel pump you get to
thru
the trunk floor?

        Yes

I figure its not the same but can't hurt to ask...It is not
the same as the one in my 8916v gti ?

I don't know for sure, but I'm guessing not b/c of the higher
pressure fuel
pump on the 16Vs. I'm sure someone else can tell you more definitely.
You
never know, you might get lucky and they'll be the same.

        Renard
