After thinking about what i typed a few seconds after i sent it, i realized that the stub axles for the rear drums and the rear disks cant be the same since the calipers mount to the stub axles, and a stub axle from a drum probably doesnt have that.

However i'm still wondering if the stub axles from a corrado g60 and an early GTI w/rear disks would be the same?

Just wondering if there is a difference between the rear stub axles from different models. Are the stub axles from a car with rear drums the same as the stub axles from a car with rear disks. Also yet another similar question, Are the stub axles from a GTI with rear disks the same as the stub axles from a corrado g60?

I dont have any of these with me currently, and need to know if i could substitute some parts between cars in order to get one car rolling.
