The 8Vs had a small twin paddle baffle which clipped to the bottom of the pickup tube. It was simply two perpendicular paddles that flanked each side of the pickup tube opening. It did not have the built-in windage tray that came with the 16vs.

See Factory Surge Baffle. http://www.autotech.com/oilsys.htm This baffle (according to autotech) is what comes with the 16V and is sold as an upgrade for 8V engines. Is there a difference between the 8V/16V baffle?
