doesn't sound like a real god idea to me. the Logitech speakers are ok, but there is a reason that car stereo speakers are expensive.
Given the uni-directional sound put out by the speakers and taking the droning sound of the road when your driving, I dont think you'll get near the fullness and quality of a good amp and some high quality 2-ways. Not to mention trying to get crisp, clear loud volume without the risk of eventual if not immediate distortion. Those speakers and their magnets just cant handle that kind of use. Sound fine in a house where its pointed at you and their isnt xtra ambient noise, but not on the road. Sure it might sound ok, but compare it side by side with car stereo speakers and youll see a big diff. I modified my doors and rear speaker sockets and use 6" Earthquake 2-way speakers with a Coustic 2 channel amp. badass sound and I got away with it all for right around $200. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mark Reda" <[email protected]> To: "a2list" <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, May 08, 2003 10:58 AM Subject: Re: [a2-16v-list] Speaker Idea > It really wouldn't be a pain to mount them, just some creative ideas and the > stock speaker grilles can be used for a stock appearance. > Powering the speakers would be my only concern. > > Mark. > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: <[email protected]> > To: "Mark Reda" <[email protected]> > Sent: Thursday, May 08, 2003 1:36 PM > Subject: Re: [a2-16v-list] Speaker Idea > > > > Hello Mark, the main diferrence in normal speakers and > > car audio speakers is the design.
