Hi all,
I had asked for some input a couple of days ago and evryone was very helpful
..Thank you. But since that time..in fact while I was working on the gti, I was
informed my brother got struck from the side by a pickup while crossing the
highway in his ford festiva. Anyway to make a long story short everyday I've
been at the hospital with him.and the partially dissasembled tranny will have
to wait.
I figured some of you may have been wondering if I ever got it out...and as
soon as things settle down I'm back on it. I may need guidance on remembering
how things go after all this crap going on.

Hi all,
Now that I've moved out my gl 8v its time to replace the clutch in my 89gti
16v.
Any ideas on how to support the engine( I do not have an engine stand) I
know the Bentley calls for some kind of support devive..what I want to know
is if there is any way of getting around that. Maybe with another floor jack
from underneath? Or is this not possible?
