Dee,
I see you mention that the pump has been replaced. I am assuming you used fresh (Pentosin, or similar high quality) PS fluid to replace this? As a side note, of course you cannot mix the traditional and sythetic PS fluids. Also, make sure the system is not overfull.

Has anyone had the problem of power steering fluid becoming aerated in about 15 seconds after startup? There are no visible leaks and pump has been replaced. There seems to be way too much flow into the reservoir from the rack. If the engine is revved to 2000 RPM or so for 20 seconds and then allowed to return to idle, the fluid will blow out of the vent hole in the cap higher than the hood when it is open.
the car is 1992 GTI  16V with about 105k.  Any help will be appreciated.
