Bentley wiring diagram indicates for the 87-89 GTI 16V US production,
0.3 bar sender blue/black
1.8 bar sender gray/white
oil temp sender green/black

It shows the high pressure sender installed in the oil filter flange hole on the engine side. It shows the oil temp sender installed in the oil filter flange hole on the radiator side.

Subject: [a2-16v-list] Oil Pressure Switches
Date: Wed, 2 Jul 2003 04:41:59 -0400

I was wondering if someone could look something up in their Bentley? My Bentley is for the years 85 and 86 and shows that the high oil pressure switch (1.8 bar, brown sensor) is located in the top mounting hole of the oil filter (and should be a Gray/White wire), and the bottom hole is for the oil temperature sensor (Green/Black wire). It shows the other pressure sensor on the side of the head (.3 bar, white sensor and a Blue/Black wire).

Could someone verify if these are the correct locations and wire color for an 89 16V? If they are, where in the side of the head does the low pressure switch go?

Thanks
