Removing the existing resonator is the first step. Basically I replaced the resonator with a short length of black PVC pipe fed back up to the headlight box to keep any of the warmer engine air out. I had to heat the pipe to form it into an oval shape to get it to fit. It is tight enough that it doesn't move around. I have considered running a duct into the bottom or side of the airbox, up from the R front spoiler intake where the disc brake intake would be located, since I don't have a duct there for the brakes. Seems like that might give a small ram air effect. Let us know what you do and how it works out.

After spending some time with a friend's 16V 'rocco, I would like to
attempt some sort of cold air intake for my 16V Motronic. I have the 4
round headlight setup on the front. Has anyone managed to run duct work on
an A2 with the 4 round setup to get a steady flow of outside air? If so,
any tips or, better yet, pictures of your setup?

        Thanks,

        Renard
