By solid do you mean the early style front mount w/the horizontal bolt? This
is really a good mount to use. If you don't already have this style, you
will need the complete assembly (upper and lower bracket) for it to work.

Hi,
Just got a new daily driver. Its a 92 Jetta GL with 173K on it. It has a
broken front mount. What would be the advantages or disadvantages of going
with the less expensive solid mount a a replacement.
