John,
Do you mean the blue sensor on the coolant hose fitting on the front of the head? If so, that should be the coolant temperature sensor.

Hi,
My 92 Jetta GL 18. 8v Digi II has a running problem. With the blue temp
switch hooked up the car bogs down and has an RPM drop which I posted last
week With the plug off the running prob dissappears, but so does my gas
mileage.
What does this switch operate?
John

Subject: [a2-16v-list] Brake Lines: Rusted Out

Does anyone know the lenth of all the brake lines in a MK2 Jetta?
I'm not talking about braided stainless steel lines, I'm talking about the
flaired steel brake lines that leave the master cylinder.

I have to replace the brake lines on my beater since most of them have
rusted right through.

Anyone have this info?
