Yes, I rebuilt one. I had to get the inner seal from a Canadian VW dealer as
I recall, it was an odd size. There is a write-up on this I'll try to find
after I can get back to my computer. They are a little hard to get apart.

Anyone had luck rebuilding a leaking distributor? The outer oring was
replaced last year, but I always thought the inside seal was a problem.
There is a lot of play on the shaft the rotor fastens to so maybe I need
new bushings, bearings, or just an adjustment. I've never tried to take
one apart to inspect. Can someone who has done this share some insight?
