Les,
I think there is a brake cooling duct setup for the A2 big bumpers made by
North Viking. They use the fog light opening IIRC.
Another option may be to get the OEM brake duct setup from an earlier model
Jetta GLI. There should be mount points for these already on the GTI.
However, these may be for the earlier small bumper model, and would require
a little work to fit into your bumper.

My GTi project was revived with the arrival of a new set of late model Big
Bumpers. I purchased them from Autotech and they fit very very well. I
believe these are original VW OEM parts. however, I am missing the plugs
for
the fog lights. I do not want to use foglights up front but they have the
spaces for them.
An alternative would be to use them for brake cooling. Does anyone know if
there were aftermarket ports to vent the front brakes that would fit into
these holes? I would be interested in fitting cooling ducts similar to the
early Corrados. I know Rieger makes cooling ducts for MKIIIs. Does anyone
make them for the MKIIs?
