If the passenger side still engages the alarm but the drivers will not,
then there must be a fuse for the drivers side alarm engagement which he
pulled. Hopefully nothing else shared that fuse.

Subject: [a2-16v-list] A3 question

Guys,

A friend of mine took her 97 Golf GL to the dealer and had them set the
alarm so that she couldn't engage it via the driver's side lock. She can
turn the alarm on from the passenger side. She said the tech did something
around the fuse box (took about a minute) to make this happen. I can't
figure out what he did to fix it so hoping someone knows what he did.

Any ideas? Does this even make sense?

Thanks,
Eric
