Folks,
The correct size for the flywheel bolts is 9mm, 12 point -
don't try anything "close" because it will only cause you grief in
the long run. Your Chilton manual isn't going to tell you this but
your Bentley will (somewhere). The easier and cheaper option is to
call you local VW dealer and talk the the parts or service
department, they will give you the information FREEBEE and you will
be off and running, getting the job done, especially on a simple
question such as this........Jack
Hi All,
Does anyone know what type of tool is needed to remove the bolts in
the flywheel. I dont think (but i may be wrong), they are regular 12
pt socket. Time to get up on this job that i originally started a
year ago.
This ofcourse is my 89 gti 16v
