That's right, and you don't even need to rev really... Have someone look at the engine (while standing next to the car -- just not in front of the car!) while you stand on the brakes, put it in first, and let the clutch pedal out slowly until it almost stalls... if the front mount is bad, the engine will jump quite a bit... Do the same in reverse gear to check the rear mounts.
