in severe cases (as was with my late '89 gli) you can push hard on the
intake manifold in the direction of the dashboard and actually see the
engine roll in that direction. dead giveaway.

I prefer stock mounts as I dont drag or drive my 91 gli hard at all and
prefer it not to feel the vibrations as much.
unless you got some hard driving in mind, stock hydro mount holds up pretty
well in most cases.
