We're running my 16v and my partner's Hundai as our daily cars- her car is
starting to get a little beat. We got a good deal on it, otherwise we would
never have bought it. We're both finishing our PhDs this fall, and are
thinking of keeping my car, selling hers (or donating it...) and getting a
new (used..) car. I'd like to get an Mk4 GTI, but we'll see. We both have
the values that we would rather own our cars, and save our money for things
like traveling. My 16v is really dependable most of the time, and her
Hundai is decent for around town.
When the 16v goes to the big track in the sky I think I might want to pick
up an Audi 90 quattro. Been in a couple, they seem like fun (albeit
complicated) cars, and somewhat in the spirit of the 16vs.
And just to follow up, the new radiator is amazing. I don't worry about
temps at all anymore!
