Hello Chad
I have done dozens of these projects over the years and my solution
goes as follows:
I have to start by saying that I live in LA where there are lots of
(well there used to be) surplus stores, automotive swap meets and a
pick-U-part. It is relatively easy to buy stainless steel braided
lines, as in Aeroquip, with odd fittings on the ends for cheap and
stainless AN fittings. Every PYP is full of odd ball metric fittings
for fuel, oil, brakes, A/C etc. For near 0 $.Think Audi 5000
turbo. Just look around a bit at various Euro cars with Bosch and
Ate stuff on them.
Once you have the desired ends in your hands it is easy to graft AN
to euro. I use silver solder for this. It is extremely strong in a
lap joint and very neat. Can easily be done either over a gas kitchen
stove or with a propane torch. You just need some silver solder and
the fluoride flux. Very neat, think jewelry. Just cut the two
fittings off where their diameters are similar and graft them
together. Ideally one can be made to slip inside the other slightly
to create a lap joint. Often one fitting can be drilled out a bit and
the other tuned down a bit by chucking it in a drill and filing the
diameter down a bit. The resulting fitting or hose set is very
professional and hard to duplicate any other way. Hose sets look
like they came from Earl's Supply. A few I have zinc plated and
those are really trick.
Lotsa Luck

Still underway with my megasquirt project... I posted this on the 16v
forum on vortex too, but hopefully some knowledge will come through
the trusty a2 16v list. Thanks for reading.
I need an adapter to connect my exiting supply and return line to my
an-6 fuel line (aeromotive regulator and ross rail). Some adapter with
an-6 or npt on one end and vw male type fuel fitting on the other
would be perfect.
There is a real easy way to do this I hope. Have a look at the pics of
the line I removed along with the old cis motronic air box.
