My car has been sitting for much of the past few years. I keep the battery charged and start the car now and then, but this weekend I decided to clear garage space to pull the engine. I've had all these parts on the shelf since 2007:
je pistons with side and top coating 83mm 9:1 scat rods new German pump, windage tray and baffle kit arp bolts (main caps) main bearings engine gasket set (short block only) water pump with housing rod bearings tensioner intermediate shaft bearing timing belt freeze plugs oil galley plugs thermostat (stock temp) I just need to disconnect the exhaust and shift linkage then I'm ready to lift it out. Hopefully I can keep on track and make a little progress each week. Anyone else working on a 16v? I have some tt 16v street cams I used to run when my car was not turbo'd. I haven't checked ebay or vwvortex for the going rate, but make me an offer if you are interested. My estimate is ~15 for shipping in the US so make an offer including the shipping.
