Yes, ATF is correct.  You can splash out for a $10 quart of AmsOil synthetic or 
the cheap stuff from any of the auto parts stores.  I disconnected the suction 
hose at the PS pump (the one with the hose clamp holding it in place) and let 
it drain when I put a new pump on mine.  Reconnect it, fill the reservoir, and 
then start the engine and let the pump circulate it.  Bleeding it is nothing 
more than GENTLY turning the steering wheel from lock to lock until you no 
longer see air bubbles in the reservoir.  Top it up to the MAX line and you are 
good to go.
