Hey 16vers, I have been looking for some references for regular interval maintenance and ran across this video of a regular inspection and preventative maintenance on an MK1.
Seems pretty similar to our cars in some ways, I continue to be surprised how common things are across many German cars that use Bosch components. (I also ran into a video on how to inspect and clean Bosch CIS injectors and it was for a 1990 Mercedes<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOZRHt-GkHY&list=WL&index=67>. ) These Mk1s sure seem simpler to maintain, too bad they never really appealed to me. The video is in German but has English subtitles. I am trying to put together a plan that spans a year then repeats (I guess with some maintenance repeating at 3 and 5 year increments) and repeats with different areas of the car maintained/restored each month.
