Since you already have a 12v power supply you could get a charger like this

If you really neglect the battery and let it die fully this charger may need to run over night, but that has never been a problem for me. It tells you exactly how many amp hours have been put back in so you know how far discharged your battery was. I've had the charger for more than 5 years and it still works fine. I've never used a battery tender, but instead I just make sure to charge the battery every now and then if I don't drive the car.
