Call around to or stop by some local recyclers and see what they pay. Here in South Central PA I get between 50 & 55ยข per pound for crushed aluminum beer/soda cans. Some of the aluminum VW scrap I turned in varied because of other metals in them (bearings, etc.) but there was still money to be made. The hardest part of the job I found was "getting in the mood" to dispose of my "treasures"!!
