So my fuel reservoir developed a nastly leak a year ago. As a replacement
I put something together using 3" x 3" aluminum square tubing and the
original fuel pump, which seemed to work okay last Fall. The fuel mixture
was off because while troubleshooting fuel issues, I pulled the plunger out
of the fuel box and never got around to resetting it. It didn't run good,
but it ran (so I knew my fuel pump fix was okay).

Fast forward to now... my homegrown aluminum fuel box has a very small leak
(visible fuel on box, but nothing on floor), so that needs to be taken care
of.

And the high pressure pump isn't turning on (could be locked up).

In tank fuel pump is new and was replaced as part of a wider mouth Mk3 tank
conversion.

So I my options now as:

- find one of these ultra rare fuel reserviors on eBay, and hope it doesn't
leak at the seams like mine did (thanks, ethanol gas)

- forget the whole CIS-E thing, and go carbs (ouch $1,200). REALLY hard to
justify putting this much into the car though.

- sell the car for probably $1,200 if I am lucky. It hasn't been reliably
driven in at least 4 years, due to non mechanical things like rusted floor
pans (replaced).

Thoughts?

Thanks
Denis
