The size of the Michigan map I generate from the CloudMade extract went down from 63M to 59M. On my Etrex Vista HCx, 1) Detroit area->Munising, MI: the computation time is roughly the same (27 sec average old map, 28 sec average new map) and the resulting route is exactly the same. 2) Detroit area->Copper Harbor, MI: the computation time is a bit shorter(70 sec average old map, 60 sec average new map) and the resulting route is exactly the same. One "funny" thing is for 1) after crossing the Mackinack Bridge, routing goes thru US 2 directly ( http://maps.cloudmade.com/?lat=45.820426&lng=-84.759521&zoom=12&directions=45.78943218677224,-84.73184108734131,45.85259743754788,-84.76587295532227&travel=car&styleId=1) where for #2 it makes a detour via the next exit before going back and finally going to US 2 ( http://maps.cloudmade.com/?lat=45.878537&lng=-84.724503&zoom=11&directions=45.78943218677224,-84.73184108734131,45.96409778456033,-84.75072383880615,45.85259743754788,-84.76587295532227&travel=car&styleId=1) .
