I try to find out now why some POIs are not generated from areas.
I added:
// check if there is not already a poi in that shape
log.info("already there: ",
poiMap.findPointInShape(shape, pointType, shapeName));
to MapMaker.java and got:

So this POI prevents mkgmap from making a new one. :But where does it
come from?
