I attach some test data. So the fairway polygons are not always smaller than the riverbank. We were already thinking about a prepro that combines all the riverbank segments to one big polygon for each river. If fairway is always completely inside riverbank, one could use it as an inner multipolygon and cut out holes in the riverbank. But this was considered to be too complicated.
