I use
route=ferry & seasonal!=* route=ferry {add mkgmap:ferry=1} [0x1b road_class=3
road_speed=0 resolution 24]
without any problems. There are a lot of people complaining about non seasonal
ferries so I've added this tag to make those ferries that do not go during
winter times not routable. Still there are a lot of people complaining that
they cant avoid ferries because they have units without "ferry avoidance" but
thats not my problem ;-)
