I am trying to merge them together, and there is no problem merging
them, but the name of the map changes to "OSM street map" and there is
only 1 "layer" or what they should be called, showing in a Garmin GPS unit.
--gmapsupp contourdir/srtm/gmapsupp.img countrydir/gmapsupp.img
To change the name from 'OSM street map', use the --description option
when combining files too.
--description="Sweden OSM map" --gmapsupp
contourdir/srtm/gmapsupp.img countrydir/...
If you want the street map and the contour map to be separate, I think
you will need to set family-id to something different in the contour
map.
I'm sure that someone else will know more about how to achieve what
you want than me.
