Hi Hennning, I guess you have hgt files without voids and you don't use --dem-poly. I think in that case everything works fine. You can remove the x- when an option is documented in the help. At the moment, only one dem option is not documented: --x-dem-outside-polygon.
I still try to find out what has to be changed to avoid the crash in MapSouce. I am pretty sure that the problem is not in the DEM data, but in the TRE or *.tdb file.
