Hi Vojta, it seems that the pbf file is corrupt, the error message is produced by the lib that is used in splitter. I'd try to create the file again, maybe it was an IO error. If not, you may try if osmconvert is able to handle the file, but I would contact the programmer of the program that created the pbf.

I splitted files of similar size before, but Nepal seems to be a tough nut to crack. I have Oracle Java 1.8.0_191 64bit (but I had the problems with 32bit Java too).
